The headquarters is in the form of a large, tall house with asymmetric structures. Captainīlack Bull's base of operations is a headquarters that houses all of the members. Yami has recruited several members from outside of the annual exam: Nacht, Henry, Vanessa, Gauche, Zora, Grey, Charmy, Noelle, and Secre. The decision can be made after the captain has seen the potential member's ability during the exam or out of sheer compassion. It has a gold-colored button located at the right-hand side to hold it together, while the left-hand side displays the squad's insignia. The squad's signature robe is a black mantle with gold trimming and hood. Upon the end of the ceremony, a senior member usually bestows the new member with the squad's official robe as proof of membership. This ceremony has been regarded by many of the members as unofficial but exists to measure the quality of its new recruits. The squad also has a tradition of performing an initiation ceremony when dealing with their new members.
